Monsoon in Kihei 👩‍🍳

It may be a bit much to include a restaurant in a list of power spots, but the location, views, quality, uniqueness and cuisine make this place a serious candidate. Monsoon restaurant is one of the few Indian restaurants on Maui and it is by far the best (according to my husband who is from India, and I completely agree). Personal favorites include Saag Paneer and Vegetable Korma, but every dish is top notch. It is located in Kihei in a condominium complex. The restaurant has giant sliding panels which are always open to let in the gentle breeze and the view. You can see the island of Lanai and the West Maui mountains framed by tiki torches. Just in front of the restaurant is the site of an ancient fishpond which today is used by tourist to float and swim in this protected area.
