The Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm is part way up Mt. Haleakala and has spectacular ocean and mountain views. Because of the elevation, it is cooler and can be quite chilly in the winter time. They have a lovely gift shop with all kinds of lavender themed products. There is a small fee ($3) to enter and they are not open every day of the week so be sure to check the website for current times. We have visited several times. We bring a picnic lunch to enjoy after wandering across the hillsides covered in fragrant lavender plants and enjoying the garden areas with serene statues and many different kinds of flowers. If you like gardens, views and unique gifts you will enjoy the ALi'i Kula Lavender farm.
Read about the founder and legacy of this unique place: āMy passion has always been in the earth,ā says Alii Chang, who planted a lavender farm in upcountry Maui and made it into a work of art.
