Na Wahi Pana O Hawaii

Na Wahi Pana O Hawaii means Sacred Places of Hawaii. Wahi is the word for place. The word pana means “pulse”. Thus sacred places are “places with a pulse”or living spaces. The sacred is saturated with being and sacred places serve as a spiritual compass.

- Excerpts from research paper by Eve Okura and Dr. Cynthia Hallen Brigham Young University
