Makapu'u Summit and Kaiwi Scenic Shore (Oahu) š³

This is definitely a power spot. The paved trail to Makapu'u Summit winds up the mountain with breath-taking views around every bend. Some areas are still and hot, others are breezy and at the top it's downright windy. There are views from Kailua to Waimanalo to Koko Head and down to Kaiwi Shoreline and an unusual rock pillar perched on a hilltop at the edge of the ocean. The ocean is a potent blue color. We saw a whale and the islands of Maui and Molokai in the distance. A different trail leads to the shoreline. We'll try that next time.
